Founder Mark Van Ek leads construction with more than 40 years of experience and multiple Georgie and HAVAN awards. Trent Praski leads development and co-founded Vancouver Missing Middle. Alongside senior project and site managers, they cover both sides of the company, the homes we build and the multiplexes we develop.

What is the difference between Venture Pacific's Build and Develop divisions?
Build serves people who already own the home they want built or renovated, a new custom home, a major renovation, an addition, or a heritage restoration, delivered under a construction-management contract. Develop serves homeowners and investors who want to turn a single-family lot into multiple homes, a triplex, fourplex, or sixplex, through a GP/LP partnership where Venture Pacific provides capital, design, permits, and construction while the landowner contributes the land as equity.
How does a GP/LP partnership work for a homeowner?
In a GP/LP (General Partner / Limited Partner) partnership, the homeowner contributes their land as equity and becomes the Limited Partner. Venture Pacific acts as General Partner, managing design, permitting, financing, and construction, and carries the construction risk. The homeowner keeps ownership rights in the project and shares in the profits at completion, without selling the land or self-financing the build.

Venture Pacific builds and develops across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, including Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Richmond, North Vancouver, Surrey, and Langley. How do I know if my lot qualifies for a multiplex?

Do I need to sell my property to work with Venture Pacific?
No. Whether you're building a custom home, renovating, or developing a multiplex, you keep ownership throughout. On the Develop side specifically, the GP/LP structure is a direct alternative to selling: you contribute your land as equity and remain a partner in the project rather than a seller, with either a strata sale or a refinance-and-hold as the eventual exit.
