The rules of zone M-10

What the zone allows

  • Storage and an industrial access driveway, where both serve a permitted use on a neighbouring lot zoned M-1B. (section 710.1 1))

Lot size for new lots

  • New lots made by subdivision must be at least 1.7 ha (4.2 acres). (section 110.1)

Height

  • Inside the Fort Langley area shown on the map in Section 104.5 3), buildings may be at most 9 m (29 ft 6 in) high and at most 2 storeys, with no room above the second storey. (section 104.5 2))

Parking

  • Parking and loading spaces must follow Section 107 of the bylaw. (section 710.3)

Other rules

  • Within 10 m (32 ft 10 in) of a lot zoned for anything other than industry, stored material may be stacked at most 2 m (6 ft 7 in) high, unless the required landscaping screen is at least as high as the material. No storage area may be in the required front yard. (section 710.2 1))
  • No stored material in the M-10 zone may be higher than 5 m (16 ft 5 in). (section 710.2 2))
  • Where the zone is next to a zone other than industrial, all storage areas must be closed in by a solid board decorative cedar fence at least 2 m (6 ft 7 in) high, and screened by a continuous thick evergreen hedge at least 1.5 m (4 ft 11 in) high when planted, kept neat. (section 710.5 1) and 2))
