Can you build your own multiplex in BC as an owner builder?
BC Housing authorizes owner builders to build one dwelling unit, and it does not issue authorizations for units in new multi-unit residential buildings. For a new fourplex, the owner builder route is closed. Adding one unit to a house older than 10 years is a different case.

Can you get home warranty insurance after a house is built in BC?
In B.C., a new home has to be enrolled in home warranty insurance before the building permit is issued. When a builder leaves partway through, or a house was never enrolled, the options depend on how far construction got and who finishes the work.
